Tour Guide Training

This program aims at developing the skills required to be a successful tour guide, principles of tour guiding including information about the history and tourist attractions of Sharjah in order to deliver a memorable journey for visitor. Participants will achieve an official license to conduct valid tours in Sharjah on completion.

Focusing on offering an overarching knowledge of Sharjah, this program aims at developing the skills required to be a successful female tour guide, including several workshops such as Leadership in Tourism, Entrepreneurship, history and tourist attractions of Sharjah in order to take visitors on a memorable journey. This program is a female only course dedicated to empowering women in tourism. Trainees will achieve an official license to conduct valid tours in Sharjah on completion.

Renewal is offered annually by SCTDA for tour guides with SCTDA expired licenses. The training program is a recap of skills, information and updates on Sharjah destinations and attractions.

Aimed at further developing the skills required to be a successful tour guide in Sharjah, this training builds on the history and tourist attractions of Sharjah and provides licensed guides from other Emirates with an official license to conduct valid tours in Sharjah

From this vision, grew Rehlati specialized tour guiding programs - the channel through which tourists visiting Sharjah will gain unforgettable memories. In collaboration with Sharjah Museums Authority (SMA), this training will provide an overview of all SMA museums and activities. After successfully completing the training program, tour guides will receive a REHLATI specialized license.

In collaboration with Mleiha Archaeological Centre, this training will uncover the archaeological and historical journey of Mleiha, starting from the Palaeolithic period and all the periods and ages leading to modern day Mleiha. After successfully completing the training program, tour guides will receive a REHLATI specialized license

In collaboration with the Environment and Protected Areas Authority (EPAA), this training will explore sustainable tourism and preservation efforts in Sharjah. Encompassing all the centers under EPAA, tour guides will receive training in details of ecological and sustainable efforts being conducted to preserve local and endangered animals and the flora and fauna of Sharjah. After successfully completing the training program, tour guides will receive a REHLATI specialized license
