Tour Guide Training
SCTDA tour guiding programs offer an opportunity to attain an official tour guide license from the Emirate of Sharjah after successfully completing the training program offered in Arabic and English as per the approved tour guide law by the Executive Council (Decision 13 of 2022) of the Emirate of Sharjah.
SCTDA aims to give tourists visiting the Emirate of Sharjah an authentic Emirati experience with the support of the licensed tour guides.
Tour Guiding for Beginners
Target Audience
Anyone without a tour guide license from another emirate including Sharjah
Language
Arabic / English
Requirements
- Copy of valid passport
- Copy of residency visa for non-Emiratis
- Copy of birth certificate (children of Emirati mothers only)
- Copy of mother’s passport (children of Emirati mothers only)
- Copy of national ID (front and back)
- Personal photograph with white background
- Updated CV
- Educational qualifications
- Good conduct certificate valid for 3 months
- Applicants must be over 18

This program aims at developing the skills required to be a successful tour guide. It honours the principles of tour guiding, including information about the history and tourist attractions of Sharjah in order to deliver a memorable journey for visitors. Participants will achieve an official license to conduct valid tours in Sharjah on completion.
Al Jawhara Women Empowerment Tour Guiding for Beginners

The program focuses on offering an overarching knowledge of Sharjah. It also aims to develop the skills required to be a successful female tour guide, through several workshops such as Leadership in Tourism, Entrepreneurship, history, and tourist attractions of Sharjah, to take visitors on a memorable journey. This program is a female only course dedicated to empowering women in tourism. Trainees will achieve an official certificate on completion.

Tour Guiding – Renewal / Refresher

Tour guides with expired licenses from Sharjah

Advanced Tour Guiding
