Al Hisn (Sharjah Fort)
Built in 1820, this fort is a superb example of traditional architecture, formerly home to the ruling Al Qasimi family and restored in the mid 1990s. Contained within its solid walls, this imposing stronghold was once the dominant building alongside the creek. The museum is currently closed for renovation but can be admired externally.
