Sharjah Art Gallery
Bait Obaid Al Shamsi is the most recent house to have been restored in this area. The renovations of this beautiful house that overlooks the creek have included the creation of a series of studios set around the traditional courtyard.
Contemporary artists, by invitation from the Sharjah Directorate of Arts, come from all over the world to use the studios each year. There is an air of tranquillity during the day but in the evenings, the artists meet to discuss their work with great enthusiasm.
Lectures, seminars and arts bazaars are held regularly.
The artists’ impressive works in all art forms, are displayed in the main entrance of the gallery and also often exhibited in the Sharjah Art Museum.
