F1 Best Event Organizer award 2007
The emirate of Sharjah, represented by the Sharjah Commerce and Trade development Authority, has reached a new milestone in organizing sport events, being recognized as the Best Event Organizer for UIM Formula One Powerboat World Championship 2007, the world’s most spectacular water sport competition. Sharjah has been hosting the championship on an annual basis since 2000.
The emirate has secured the prestigious award for the fifth time, out of six awards Sharjah has received for organizing the event. The award is the latest addition to a series of phenomenal successes achieved by the emirate in its involvement in organizing world class sporting events that gave Sharjah a prominent position among the leading world cities in terms of organizing international sport competitions.
